Weekly Fantasy Football – Week 1 Wide Receiver Picks

Receivers may be the toughest position to predict on a week to week basis. Judging who the best receivers in the league are then watching it play out over the whole year is simple enough, but because of the feast or famine nature of the position, picking a receiver for just one game is difficult. For instance, the best receiving game of 2010 was when Kenny Britt went for 225 yards and 3 touchdowns against the Eagles. There does appear to be several receivers poised to have big games in week 1.

Week 1:

1. Andre Johnson

The entire Texans offense looks like it will have a huge game week 1. They have been kicked around by the Colts since they entered the NFL, and they could not catch the Colts at a better time. If Kerry Collins is unable to sustain drives, the Colts’ defense could spend the majority of the afternoon on the field. The Texans will wear down their defense with Arian Foster, which will open up the downfield passing game to Johnson.

2. Vincent Jackson

Philip Rivers has developed into a top five quarterback in the ufbet ราคาค่าน้ำ league, and he loves to throw deep. Rivers piled up huge stats last year as Jackson held out, and his return as the number one receiver should only improve the pass happy San Diego offense.

3. Hakeem Nicks

With Steve Smith moving to the Eagles, the Giants are down to two primary receivers, with Nicks looking like Eli’s number one target. He is a big target that produces in the red zone and is also able to break the big play. He should put up huge numbers against a bad Redskins pass defense

4. Roddy White

The addition of Julio Jones should help take pressure off White, who is still Matt Ryan’s number one target. The Bears have a solid pass defense, but they are getting older, and White is good enough to still get his numbers.

5. Brandon Lloyd

Lloyd led the NFL in receiving last year with 1,448 yards and 11 touchdowns. He is undervalued because the Broncos cannot decide on a quarterback. Orton will be throwing to him this week, which could mean a big day, especially against
